Course guidelines for first semester 2024

The UJCI has released its course guidelines for the first semester of 2024. It will offer credited courses in Basic Mandarin and Intermediate Mandarin, and non-credited courses in HSK Mandarin and Chinese Culture.

The credited Mandarin courses are open to UJ students only, and the non-credited courses are open to all, including UJ students and staff. All Mandarin courses will be taught online, in two afternoon sessions per week, over a 15-week period.

Chinese Culture will comprise Martial Arts and Chinese Dance. These courses will be taught in person at the UJCI premises at 9 Moseley Avenue, Auckland Park. Martial Arts will be taught twice a week over a 15-week period, and Chinese Traditional Dance once a week, both over a 15-week period.

Applications for credited courses will open on 22 January 2024 and close on 11 February 2024. Applications for HSK Mandarin and Chinese Culture courses have opened and will close on 4 March 2024. For a complete course guide, including a guide to online registration, click on the link below.
