ON Thursday 11 October 2018, the UJCI will host a seminar on ‘The Future of Africa-China Relations: Conclusions from FOCAC 2018’.
It will seek to unpack the outcomes of the 2018 FOCAC summit, and examine some of the features of Africa-China relations in a changing global order. Specifically, it will address the issue of whether China can be regarded as a genuine African bilateral and multilateral development partner. For a concept note, click here.
The seminar is open to students, faculty members and other staff at the University of Johannesburg, the broader academic community, civil society, the business community, government officials and diplomats, and interested members of the public.
